QSF Advantages

Faculty

The staff of Quality School, especially its academic staff, is selected strictly on merit consequently the School has an excellent faculty. The minimum qualification of teachers of Quality School is graduation with a good grade. While some teachers of KG to class 3 have master's degrees, all teachers of class 4 and higher classes hold master's degrees in the area of their specialisation. Notwithstanding the fact that most of them possess professional degrees, the teachers of Quality School are imparted pre-service training on joining the service, and in-service training for at least one month every year to update their professional skills. List of current faculty is attached.

Kindergarten classes have helpers in addition to their I respective class teachers to ensure better attention to the young j students. Class teachers are assigned teaching responsibilities for classes KG to 3. All subjects are taught to students of 4 and higher classes by respective specialist subject teachers. This arrangement has made it possible to achieve a high level of quality education.

The School building has 28 classrooms, 3 fully equipped laboratories, a library, 2 staff rooms, 5 offices, modern toilets, and a cafeteria. Summer School

A four-week summer school is organised during the summer vacations for the students of all the senior classes. In addition to the school staff, highly qualified visiting teachers and eminent persons also deliver lectures. Special computer education classes are arranged for the teachers and students, if required, during summer school.

Teacher Training

There is no substitute for a good teacher. She is the heart of the entire education process and is the example that the students follow. Unfortunately, in the prevailing dismal state of education in the country, there is virtually no role model for the future teachers.

The quality of training imparted by teacher training schools is dubious. Teachers take up their jobs holding degrees and diplomas but with little knowledge and very few professional skills. To ensure .availability of good teachers, Quality Schools Foundation is implementing a well-designed pre-service and in-service teacher training and professional development programme. A monitoring and evaluation system has been developed to assure delivery of high quality education.

Parent- Teacher Interaction

Complementary to the role of the teacher is the role of the parents. A parent-teacher relationship based on trust and co-operation is essential for the real education of a child. An enabling environment has been provided for parents, teachers, and community to work together so that the best qualities of the students may emerge, and they get ample opportunities to grow to their full potential. Regular parent-teacher meetings are held and have proved to be of great benefit to the parents, the teachers, and the students.
